Abstract

1409559 Pallets ALUMASC Ltd 24 Sept 1973 [12 Oct 1972] 47108/72 Heading B8H A pallet comprises four elongate parallel panels 10 which are scalloped at 11 to support a number of barrels, casks or like containers, the panels 10 being spaced by means of aluminium tubes 12 and ties (14) extend through the aligned tubes 12 and through the panels 10 and are held in place by means of nuts (15), Fig. 2 (not shown). The panels 10 are moulded from a structural foamed plastics material and have aligned apertures (18) formed therein for receiving the forks of a lift truck, Fig. 6 (not shown). The outer panels 10 are provided with upper and lower lateral projections 16, 17 to enable pallets to be stacked.
