1405499 Vehicle hitches KG COKER 8 Nov 1972 51414/72 Heading B7T A towing hitch member for attachment to a tractor vehicle by bolts passing through an apertured bracket 11 comprises a ball, for forming part of a ball-and-socket hitch, mounted on a boss 20 and a pair of spaced, parallel tongues 14, 15, for forming part of a tongued hitch, each with a respective concentric aperture 16, 17, the boss being secured to tongue 15 or formed integrally therewith, and a vertical axis through the ball and boss passing through the longitudinal axes of the tongues 17 web 18 coplanar with the tongue axes is thickened at its upper and lower edges where it meets the tongues and has a recess 19 to accommodate a tongue of a trailer vehicle.
