Abstract

1404702 Collapsible cameras FRANK & HEIDECKE GmbH [trading as ROLLEIWERKE FRANK & HEIDECKE] 22 Nov 1973 [8 Dec 1972] 54363/73 Heading G2A In a camera having two housing parts 5, 6 which slide telescopically between an open and a shut position, a battery 1 is so mounted that in the open position it is spring-urged into contact with a terminal in the camera, and the action of sliding the housing parts together lifts it away from the terminal. Fig. 1 shows the parts 5 and 6 slid apart into the operative position. The battery 1 is urged by a spring 3 into contact with the camera terminal 2, which extends through an opening in an insulating plate 4. The plate 4 has at one end a rounded part 7 which rests on an inner panel 8, and at the other end a flanged part 10 extending into a slot 11 in the housing. When housing parts 5 and 6 are pushed together to close the camera, part 5 engages flange 10 and pushes it so that the plate 4 tilts about end 7, so lifting the battery away from terminal 2, Fig. 2 (not shown).
