1403211 Abradable seal material UNITED AIRCRAFT CORP 14 July 1972 [15 Nov 1971] 33104/72 Headings C7A and C7D Porous abradable seal material for use in high temperature apparatus (such as gas turbine engines) is made by powder metallurgy from a powder mixture consisting of:- Wherein the inert material is selected from the group consisting of diatomaceous earth, baron nitride silica glass, mica, graphite, cobalt oxide, cerium oxide, zinc oxide, molybdenum disulphide and vermiculate asbestos.
