Abstract

1402750 Plate buffing and chamfering machine M ZOIA 17 Oct 1972 [28 Oct 1971] 47832/72 Heading B3K A machine B for buffing, trimming and/or chamfering an edge of a plate comprises at least one rotary tool Ra or Rb, means 12-16, for controlling the position of the tool with respect to the edge of the plate, in two mutuallyperpendicular directions. A roller 11a is provided for setting the depth of cut. The portable machine includes an electric motor which drives the tools through gearing 4, 5. The cutting edges 10 of the bevel-shaped tools are formed by slitting the tools at 8. The tools may be of cylindrical form, and the distance between shafts 6a, 6b, may be adjustable. The machine may be fixed and stationary rather than portable.
