Abstract

1401395 Capacitors SIEMENS AG 14 June 1973 [19 June 1972] 28305/73 Heading H1M In a wound capacitor (Fig. 2, not shown) the contact element 5 of the electrode 2 of one polarity is located only at its centre, and the contact element 6 of the other electrode 4 is located at one end thereof. Optionally electrode 4 may have a second contact element 7 at its centre, so that, on the case of an electrolytic capacitor for use in a computerized photographic flash unit, contact elements 5 and 6 are connected to the quench circuit to provide high inductance for limiting the quench current, while 5 and 7 are connected in the flash circuit providing low inductance. The capacitor may comprise two anodes each contacted at the centre or an end according to where the cathode contact is located.
