Abstract

1400129 Mounting flexural resonators SOC SUISSE POUR L'INDUSTRIE HORLOGERE MANAGEMENT SERVICES SA 13 March 1973 [13 April 1972] 12059/73 Heading H1E A piezo-electric flexural resonator of the type comprising a rectangular bar of quartz 9 electroded on its longitudinal faces, is suspended from its nodal points by a pair of forked members 3a, Fig. 6, having a stem portion 8a mounted in the base 5 of a container 10. Fig. 3, shows an intermediate stage in the mounting of the resonator in which a sheet metal member 1, formed by cutting and folding, is attached to the conductive base 5, 6 by means of glass seals 7. The intermediate (saddle) portion of the member 1 is removed before location of the resonator between the forks 3. These have a different shape from the ones shown in Fig. 6. Additionally, Fig. 3, shows side limbs 2 which ensure accurate location of the forked members.
