Abstract

1398852 District heating systems BRITISH PETROLEUM CO Ltd 28 Sept 1972 [17 Nov 1971] 53284/71 Heading F4U A district heating system comprises a boiler 1 for heating a heat transfer fluid, the fluid being a hydrocarbon based distillate product of initial boiling point greater than 200‹ C. at atmospheric pressure. The heat transfer fluid, at 150‹ C. is passed through a heat exchanger 2 in indirect contact with water flowing through a secondary circuit containing a pump 3 and radiators 4. The secondary circuit may include a thermostat.
