Abstract
139,572. Grant, W. E. Sept. 6, 1919. Clinometers for aircraft have a number of electric lamps, preferably arranged in cross formation, the circuits to the lamps being controlled by a switch member consisting of a pair of curved tubes 9, 10 arrangedat right-angles to each other and containing a small quantity of mercury 14. The tubes are provided at their ends, which are above the level of their centres, with terminals 11, 12, each pair of which is arranged in one of the lamp circuits. The switch device is embedded in pitch &c. 13 in a casing 7 secured to the aircraft.
