Abstract

1394880 Watches SOC ANON DE LA MANUFACTURE D'HORLOGERIE AUDEMARS PIGUET & CO 19 Sept 1972 [6 Dec 1971] 43235/72 Heading G3T In a waterproof watch, a fluid-tight packing element 4 is compressed between a bezel 5 and a back casing 1 by a tapped rod 9 that is screwed on to a screw 8 that has a non-circular head non- rotatably embedded in the bezel 5. The element 4 thus forms a fluid-tight seal at A between the bezel 5 and casing 1, at B between the bezel 5 and glass 6, and at C between the casing 1 and a mounting ring 12 for the movement 13. The glass may be of hard organic material e.g. hardened glass or corundum.
