Abstract

1393458 Bale accumulators S H SCOTT and G R SCOTT 5 June 1973 [7 June 1972] 26550/72 Heading B5F A bale accumulator comprises guides 9 for guiding bales lying on the ground into a position lengthwise of the accumulator, a member 17 to deflect bales to one side or other of the collector to be accumulated with the bales aligned transversely of the accumulator, and a gate 21 to release accumulated bales. The guides 7 may be pivoted to the side 1 of the accumulator with their other ends being adjustably mounted to provide a throat 7 for different size bales. Feelers 26 may be arranged to switch a light on when the accumulator is full so that a trip rope 23 may be pulled to release the gate. There are skids 25 and optionally wheels 30 mounted on pivoted levers 32 having handles 31 to raise or lower the wheels. In a modification the rearmost part (9a) of the guides is hinged and mounted on a lever system.
