Abstract

The stack has a unit (5, 12, 13) to guide groups of bales, and for angular displacements of alternate groups, at 90 deg., relative to the length of the stacker. Another unit stacks the groups in their alternate displaced and non-displaced positions. Construction and arrangement of the baler ensure, that at least some bales are in contact with the ground during formation of the stack. The guide unit contains an element (5) to arrange the bales into groups, each containing two bales. The stacker is formed as a slide, with additional wheels, to facilitate transportation, when it is not in use. It may be self-propelling, and have units to pick-up individual or groups of bales off the ground.
