Abstract

1393110 Manual counters SEIKO KOKI KK 27 March 1973 [28 March 1972] 14613/73 Heading G4D [Also in Divisions H1 and F2] An adjustment mechanism for a digital timer comprises number wheels 14a, 15a to which ratchet wheels 33, 34 are attached and an adjusting rod 16a extending for longitudinal movement between the ratchet wheels 33, 34 and carrying a pivotally mounted pawl member 30 which has two pawl parts 31, 32 which are adapted to be brought into engagement selectively with the ratchet wheels 33, 34 respectively by vertical movement of a plate 42 provided with an operating button 43 and attached to the rod 16a by a spring 47. When one of the pawl parts 31, 32 is in engagement with the corresponding ratchet wheel, axial movement of the rod 16a in the direction of the arrow B causes angular displacement of the ratchet wheel. Springs 35, 36 prevent reverse rotation of the ratchet wheels. In a modification, a vertically movable selector plate 54, Fig. 4, is provided with fingers 61, 62 which are adapted to engage a pin 63 on a toggle arm 30.
