Abstract

1392383 Magnetotherapeutic device J MIQUEL 25 May 1972 [2 June 1971 4 Aug 1971] 24622/72 Heading A5R A megnetotherapeutic device comprises a head 7 for placing in contact with the body 10 to be treated, at least one permanent magnet 8 in the head, and electromagnetic means connected to the head for reciprocating the head. As shown, a rod 6 connects the head 7 to a first plate 3 of soft iron, and struts 4a connect the plate 3 to a second plate 2 of alveolar plastics. A further strut 4 connects the plate 2 to the stator 1 of an electromagnet having windings 5 whereby vibrations (adjustable in frequency) may be applied to the head. The head 7 may be detachable and inter-changeable with other heads.
