1389225 Cartons BOXFOLDIA Ltd 21 Aug 1972 [24 Aug 1971] 39565/71 Heading B8P A carton of the type that can be folded flat without disjointing has a crease 15 that forms a gusset panel 16 at the ends of each long side wall 12 provided with a cut extending out of the line of the crease. The cut forms a projection 12a, and a complementary recess 16a, the interference of the cut and recess when the carton is erected prevents the tendency of the carton to return to its flat condition. There may be one or more projections along each crease 15 and the projections may extend from the side walls 12 or from the gusset panels. Extensions 13 of the sides 12 are secured to the end walls 11. The projections may have a number of different shapes (see Figs. 6-9).
