1389008 Gas cleaning apparatus SOUTH LONDON PLASTICS Ltd 26 April 1972 [26 April 1971] 11363/71 Heading B1R An apparatus for cleaning gases comprises a housing 10, a reservoir at the base of the housing for cleaning liquid W, a top wall with aperture 22, an outer casing 14 open top and bottom mounted over aperture 22, an inner casing 15 containing an electric motor, and with which the outer casing 14 forms an annular air duct, a vertical shaft 17 driven by motor M having mounted thereon (a) a fan blade assembly 16 (b) a cage like liquid spreader 21 and an impeller comprising a helical blade 19 in a tube 20, an air inlet 11, and a drain off 12 for liquid, wherein a transverse, perforate baffle plate 18 extends across the housing 10.
