Abstract

138,765. Sweet, P. H. April 10. 1919. Gins.-In saws for gins and apparatus for delinting cotton seeds, the teeth are formed upon segmental bands which are removably clipped to the periphery of the disk which forms the body of the saw. In the form shown in Fig. 1, clips 17 are punched from the body of the band, passed through apertures 16 in the disk, and clinched, the ends of the clips being formed with protuberances which engage with other apertures 19 in the disk. Several forms of clips are described and illustrated.
