Abstract

1383355 Vibratory screening machine MIAG MUHLENBAU UND INDUSTRIE GmbH 4 Oct 1972 [12 Oct 1971] 45780/72 Heading B2H A screening machine comprises a box 11-15 within which is mounted one or more screens 31, 33, Figs. 1 and 3, inclined downwardly in the direction of flow of material to be screened from an inlet for the material, and a pressure frame 34 for holding the screens in position, spacer frames, e.g. 32, being provided between the screens, and the box being closed at its top by a cover 21, 23, having outlets for screened material and for oversized and/or undersized material, being supported at its sides on resilient mounting 44, Fig. 4, and being provided on each side with a vibrator 19 for imparting vibrations to the screens. The pressure frame 34 has a cross-bar 34' through which the frames and the screens are pressed against one another by means of screws 24. The material is fed through a feed box 16 within which is mounted an inclined tray 16' having an adjustable extension 16" for controlling the feed. The clean grain which has passed through the coarse screen 33 is removed in the direction of arrow 1, the rejects from the screen 24 leave in the direction of arrow 3 and the fines which have passed through fine screen 31 leave in the direction of arrow 4. The cover has a flap portion hinged at 25 which can be lifted in the direction of arrow 2 and which can be locked by an eccentric lock 26. Each vibrator 19 is in the form of an adjustable out-of-balance rotor transmitting linear vibrations in the direction of arrows 8. The box is supported by angle irons 43 resting on rubber cushions 44 which 'in turn are supported on angle irons 45 adjustably fixed to posts 41, 42 so that the inclination of the screens may be varied.
