Abstract

1,240,592. Vibrators. ENDECOTTS (TEST SIEVES) Ltd. 10 March, 1970 [24 March, 1969], No. 15312/69. Heading F2X. In a mechanical vibrator, for a test sieve shaker, an eccentric, driven by an electric motor, produces horizontal motion together with a vertical component imparted by inclined support planes on which the shaker rests. The plate 4, supporting the test sieves, 9, is vibrated horizontally by the eccentric bearing mounting 19, 20 rotated about the shaft 14 by the motor 10. The plate, 4, is also subjected to a vertical reciprocatory motion by the support pads 3 and studs 6, thus causing the material particles in the sieves to be moved over the sieve surfaces in a helical motion. The plate is biased to a neutral position by the springs 24, 26.
