1383225 Simulated whole milk beverage NESTLE SA 22 May 1972 24006/72 Heading A2B A protein beverage composition, particularly suitable as a substitute for whole milk, comprises, on a dry matter by weight basis, 15- 30% fish protein isolate containing at least 90% protein, less than 0.5% lipids, 1-10% minerals, and having a nitrogen solubility index of 80-100, 15-30% fat, 40-60% edible carbohydrate, and 0-10% minerals. The composition: may be prepared by forming an aqueous blend of the constituents and homogenising at least 150 kg/cm<SP>2</SP>. The product may be spray dried for reconstitution.
