Abstract

1381660 Vehicle windows DRAFTEX GmbH 13 April 1972 [13 April 1971] 17118/72 Heading B7J [Also in Division E1] A resilient mounting strip 1 for a windscreen comprises two oppositely facing channels respectively receiving the windscreen edge and body flange 5, a stiffening strip 19 being positioned in a dove-tailed groove in the outer wall 6 of the first channel 2, a metal insert (13) being embedded in the second channel portion and overlapping the flange 5 and strip 19. Both strip 19 and insert (13) overlap the part of the windscreen in the first channel 2. To mount the windscreen 17, the outer wall 6 is bent outwardly by a cord (18), and after insertion of the windscreen the strip 19 is applied.
