Abstract

1378868 Countersinkers A KNUTSSON 23 Dec 1971 [21 Jan 1971] 59865/71 Heading B3C A countersinker assembly which is to be attached to a spiral fluted drill comprises a countersinker having an axial bore to accommodate the drill 1 and which is divided longitudinally into two halves 2, 2 which are each provided with a cutting edge, and collars 4, 5, screw threaded together to engage conical surfaces on the countersinker halves 2, 2 for urging the halves towards one another to grip the drill 1. Swarf diverting elements are screwed to each half 2 by means of a tapped hole 9 to prevent ingress of swarf.
