Abstract

1378552 Air and light shaft E SCHOCK 2 Aug 1972 [17 Nov 1971] 36062/72 Heading E1R A light shaft for attachment to a building wall 4 adjacent a cellar window has a body portion 1 curved in three perpendicular directions. The body has lateral attachment flanges with apertures (6, 6' Fig. 2, not shown) an iron frame 3 for supporting a cover grid and a lower opening 7 for drainage. The body is of concrete, metal or plastics e.g. foamed plastics, and may have a protective coating.
