Abstract

1378497 Water heating systems PEGLERS Ltd 18 April 1972 [19 Jan 1971] 2494/71 Heading F4A [Also in Division F2] A valve 24 is connected in a circuit with a calorifier 10 for shutting of the supply of water to the inner vessel 14 when the pressure in the outer vessel 12 exceeds a certain predetermined maximum. The valve comprises a closure member 46 which is spring-biased to the open position and closed by pressure acting on a piston 60. The member is shaped to reduce flow as the valve is about to close. A rod 68 is fixed to a spindle 48 and actuates an electric switch (not shown) for an audible and/or visible alarm. A non-return valve 30 is included in the circuit between the outer vessel and the valve 24. A means of testing the valve 24 is provided in the form of a normally closed stop valve 34 which connects the inlet 42 to the control piston 60.
