Abstract

1378071 Packages; bottle carriers ILLINOIS TOOL WORKS Inc 16 Feb 1972 [19 Feb 1971] 7172/72 Heading B8C A carrier device for retaining and transporting a group of containers, such as bottles 16, comprises a sheet of flexible plastics material 12 formed with apertures 24 through which the bottle necks may be pushed whereby tabs 28 are displaced downwards for subsequent grasping in order to tear open a band 26 to release a bottle. Lines of weakness 32 facilitate this tearing action. The lower parts of the bottles are gripped by a flexible carrier member 14. Fingercarrying holes 22 are provided in sheet 12. In another form, tabs 28 are displaced upwardly and tear inwardly.
