1377142 Umbrella frames HIJOS DE JUAN DE GARAY SA 25 May 1972 [25 March 1972] 24598/72 Heading A4P An umbrella frame comprises a stick carrying a fixed crown 5 and a slidable runner 7, and a plurality of rib assemblies each comprising a first link 6 pivoted to the runner 7 and to a second link 4 which is pivoted to the crown 5 and to a third link 3, the third link 3 being pivoted at one end to one end of a fourth link 2 the other end of which is pivoted to the first link 6, and the two ends of the third link 3 lying adjacent the stick with the third link outside the second link and with the second link 4 outside the fourth and first links 2, 6 when the runner has been moved away from the crown 5 to close the umbrella. The stick may be telescopic, and the pivotal connections between links 4 and 3, or between links 2 and 6, may comprise bushes slidable along the links 3, or 6, respectively.
