1376549 NPN feed PIERREFITTE-AUBY and COMPAGNIE FRANCAISE DE L'AZOTE 2 May 1973 [3 May 1972] 20868/73 Heading A2B An animal feedstuff comprising urea, a material comprising starch and a cellulosic product, the urea dissolving from the mixture relatively slowly in an aqueous medium, is prepared by subjecting an intimate mixture of small particles of urea and the other components to pressure in the absence of added water, and preferably without external heat, for example in a granulating press. The starchy material may be a cereal flour or a maize product, and the cellulosic product may be for example algae or alfalfa meal, oil bean cake, or sunflower husks. Granulation may be facilitated by additives such as refatted maize or tallow powder.
