Abstract

1373496 Cementitious compositions NATURAL RUBBER PRODUCERS RESEARCH ASSOCIATION 11 Jan 1972 [15 Jan 1971] 2185/71 Heading C1H A set product is obtained by mixing a dispersion of an hydraulic binder in a non- aqueous liquid with water a dispersion of a polymer (up to 100% b.w. of the binder) being present in either or both the non-aqueous liquid or the water. Binders are gypsum, portland or aluminous cement, whilst polymers are natural rubber, styrene-butadiene copolymers (which can be carboxylated), isobutylene polymers, acrylonitrile-butadiene; polychloroprenes, p.v.a.; p.v.c.; polyacrylates; epoxy resins and polyurethanes. The non-aqueous liquids are naphtha, white spirit, ketone, mineral oil, ester plasticizer, halogenated HC, surfactants, accelerators (Al2(SO4)3] and retarders are optionals.
