Abstract

1372725 Gas-fired ovens; gas burners PARKINSON COWAN APPLIANCES Ltd 6 April 1972 [1 March 1971] 5679/71 Headings F4W and F4T A gas-fired oven comprises a burner chamber 16 mounted below and forming a recess in the lower wall 15 of the oven chamber, at least one elongate burner 19 and an air inlet slot 20 whereby secondary air is drawn into the oven chamber so as to form a screen adjacent the burner flame to prevent flow of combustion products near the flame and a deflector 23 for deflecting combustion products away from the burner. The chamber 16 is also provided with openings 21, 22 a deflector 24, a removable base, and a flame failure sensor 27. A flue 18 is provided on a side or top of the oven chamber. A wall 25 on the burner 19 prevents turbulence about the base of the flame.
