1372621 Basic dye compositions SANDOZ Ltd 3 Jan 1972 [7 Jan 1971] 101/72 Heading D1B Liquid dye preparations comprise a) at least one basic dye present in the form of a salt of an inorganic acid or of an alkylsulphuric acid in which the alkyl radical contains from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, b) at least one watersoluble organic acid, and c) γ-butyrolactone. The preparations are obtained by admixing the ingredients, water may also be added, preferably 15 to 80% by weight of basic dye and 3 to 20% by weight of y-butyrolactone are present. Polyacrylonitrile, acrylonitrile copolymer, polyester and polypropylene in the form of loose fibres, yarn or fabric may be dyed or printed with these compositions.
