1370030 Laying-vehicles for portable bridges DR ING hcF PORSCHE AG 25 Jan 1972 [13 March 1971] 3420/72 Heading E1G In a bridge-laying vehicle wherein bridge sections such as A, B, Fig. 1, are laid by a pivotal jib 8 carrying roller pairs 12 supporting flanged rails, Fig. 2 (not shown), of a bridge section (A) to be off-loadede.g. by rack gearing (26, 27), each support roller pair 12, Fig. 3, is associated with an inclined-axis roller 22 provided with a conical surface, Fig. 4 (not shown) to engage and prevent lateral movement of the bridge rails. As shown a roller carrier 15 pivoted at 18 to the jib 8 carries (a) a roller pair 12 on a centrally-pivoted arm 13; (b) an inclined-axis lateral guide roller 22; and (c) a third support roller 21.
