1369770 Barbituric acid derivatives KENDALL CO 25 July 1973 35443/73 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of the formula where R is alkyl of 1-4 carbon atoms and R 1 is phenyl or ethyl. The compounds may be prepared by reacting 1-methyl-5-ethyl-5-ethyl or phenyl barbituric acid with an alkaline material to form a salt which is then reacted with an appropriate halomethyl alkyl ether.
