Abstract
1366485 Electro-plating nickel on to silver paste SONY CORP 9 Sept 1971 [11 Sept 1970] 42125/71 Heading C7B [Also in Division H1] In making an indicator display tube (see Division H1) the electrode segments are formed in silver paste on an insulating substrate, e.g. glass, and subsequently nickel-electro-plated using a bath containing nickel sulphate, nickel chloride, boric acid, nickel carbonate and nickel hydroxide. The bath has a pH value of 5 and at a temperature of 40‹ C to 50‹ C and a current density of 30 to 40 m A/cm<SP>2</SP> a plating time of 1 to 1À5 minutes gives a layer 5 to 10 microns thick.
