Abstract
1365990 Testing carburetters DEUTSCHE VERGASER GmbH & CO K G 21 Dec 1972 [17 Oct 1972] 58991/72 Heading F1B Carburetter fuel-flow testing equipment for carburetters having a float controlled fuel chamber includes supply and return connections and devices (not shown) for measuring fuel-flow and air-flow and a pipe connecting the fuel-filled part of the chamber to a chamber in which a pulsating pressure is generated by reciprocating one of the chamber walls by a drive means so that the resulting fuel level fluctuations prevent static friction in the float mechanism. A membrane 33 which forms a wall of the chamber 32 is displaced by an electric motor 41 via a crank drive or by an intermittently-energized electromagnet. Branch pipe 27 communicates to atmosphere through a calibrated vent 28.
