Connecting uppers to insoles and soles.-A strip f of leather &c. is secured to the edge of a clog sole e by nails b which also pass through one edge of a welt strip a. The other end of the welt strip is folded over the heads of the nails b to enclose the strip f, and is secured by nails g in a recess j in the underside of the sole. In some cases, the welt strip a forms a continuation of the clog upper. A known form of covering-strip or sole of leather may be secured to the sole e.
