Abstract

1363595 Valves MEYNELL VALVES Ltd 28 Feb 1973 [22 April 1972] 18806/72 Heading F2V A distributing valve has a slightly tapered sleeve 13 rotatable within a similarly shaped body 11, an aperture 19 at one end of the sleeve being in continuous communication with an inlet 18 while an aperture 21 at the opposite end of the sleeve is communicatable with a plurality of outlets 22, 23, 24. The dimensions of the aperture 21 and the spacing between the outlets are such that during rotation of the sleeve an outlet does not become fully closed until an adjacent outlet is at least partially opened. Stop pin 26 on the sleeve co-operates with body abutments 27, 28 to limit rotation of the sleeve to 180 degrees.
