Abstract
1360702 I C engine exhaust silencers DR ING hcF PORSCHE A G 8 March 1972 [12 March 1971] 10824/72 Heading F1B The silencer 1 has outlet pipes 6, 8a and 9a and the exhaust gases entering can flow directly to the pipes 8a and 9a and via the silencing chambers 4 to the pipe 6. To provide maximum silencing the outlets of the pipes 8a and 9a are closed by covers 13 with clamping bands 18 and to provide minimum back pressure the covers are removed. The covers 13 have bayonet connections (16, 17), Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown), with the pipes 8a and 9a.
