Abstract

1358433 Knitting-machines WILDT MELLOR BROMLEY Ltd 31 Oct 1972 [10 Nov 1971] 52280/71 Heading D1C A pattern unit of a multi-feed machine comprises a series of selector slides 13 movable towards the jack butts by an electromagnetically controlled rocking lever 9, an upstanding part 11 of which engages a slat in a lug of the slide. Arms of the levers act as armatures and pivot on axes 10 between the poles of permanent magnets. The line containing the axes 10 is at 45‹ to the axes of the slides. The housings 6, 14 of the unit are suspended from a slide 8. The ends 15 of the slides co-operate with rocking needle jack pressers, acting on the sprung extensions which carry lifting butts.
