Abstract

1357910 Laminates I G WELLS 6 Sept 1972 [14 June 1971] 27772/71 Heading B5N [Also in Division G2] A laminated photoresist material useful for electrochemical marking is produced by drawing a photoresist layer on a flexible backing 2 from reel 3, stripping off protective layer 4 at roller 5, heating the resist layer by heated shoe 8 and laminating the resist to porous stencil material 1 by pressure rollers 11 and 12. A release paper 14 may be laminated to the back of material 1 at the same time so that if material 1 is in sheet form the resist is easily removed. Alternatively, a second photoresist layer may simultaneously be laminated to the back of material 1 by duplicating reels 3 and 6 and heated shoe 8- In a further embodiment, two photoresist layers may be applied to the same side of the material, the flexible backing 2 being removed before application of the second layer.
