Abstract

1357440 Anchor bolts HOUILLERES DU BASSIN DE LORRAINE 19 Oct 1971 [21 Oct 1970] 48515/71 Heading F2H To support the roof 2 or wall of a low mine gallery, an anchor bolt is used having a flexible shaft 6 with a bevelled end face 9. The bolt is rotated into a hole 5 formed in the roof or wall with the bevelled end face 9 innermost, the bolt being anchored in the hole by a hardenable resin. The shaft 7 may comprise a steel or glass fibre cable 6 formed by at least two strands. The outer end of the shaft is attached to a tube 10 to which a bolt 12 or a nut (13) (Fig. 3, not shown) is attached and by which rotary drive is imparted to the shaft. The bevelled end face 9 enables the bolt to penetrate a charge of resin placed in the hole 5.
