Abstract

1323950 Mineral-ploughing installations GEWERKSCHAFT EISENHUTTE WESTFALIA 26 Nov 1971 [11 Feb 1971] 55017/71 Heading E1F In a mineral-ploughing installation a plough guide 13 is pivotally connected, preferably at spaced locations, to the face side of a conveyer 10 along an axis 12 parallel to the longitudinal axis of the conveyer so that it may be pivoted about said axis as desired when not angularly locked with respect to said axis. Pivotal movement about the axis 12 is controlled by one or more piston cylinder units 22, each unit being connected between an associated bracket secured to the goaf side of the conveyer or an anchorage that is independent of the conveyer and located beyond the goaf side thereof and a beam extending beneath the conveyer to the guide, or between the conveyer 10 and a settable roof prop 21 fromwhich a beam 20 extends to the guide 13. When the unit 22 is not positioned between the conveyer and the beam or prop provision is made in the installation for a retaining bolt for insertion into aligned bores in the beam and the horizontal flange of an L bracket secured to the conveyer.
