Abstract

1353735 Carding flats CARDING SPECIALISTS (CANADA) Ltd 1 July 1971 [7 July 1970] 32796/70 Heading D1N A stationary carding flat comprises a curved plate 7 with projecting side walls 9, 10 and card clothing 4 secured thereto. The card clothing comprises a plurality of discrete individually distinct wires protruding through a foundation for a distance sufficiently short as to only momentarily arrest fibres being carried on the carding cylinder without retaining any fibres permanently. The card clothing can be secured to the plate 7 by an epoxy resin 6. The flat may be adjustably mounted on the bends.
