Abstract

1353433 Child's high/low chair EURODAT Ltd 7 Sept 1972 [16 Nov 1971] 41611/72 Heading A4J An infants high/low chair includes a board 34 or 40 secured to a support frame and forming at least part of a table surface in the "low chair" position, and a seat 12 or 46 pivotally mounted on the support frame for movement through approximately 90 degrees to define respective seats in the high and low positions, the seat having the same surface on which the infant sits in both high and low positions. In one embodiment, Figs. 3, 4, 5, the support frame 16 is tubular and pivotally carries a tubular seat frame 10 which is lockable by clamps 18, comprising co-acting plates 20, 22 releasably clamped by a screw 24. The plates 20, 22 have complemental grooves which interengage in the high and low positions. The seat frame 10 carries a tray 14. In another embodiment, Figs. 7 and 9, two side panels 35, 36 are inter-connected by cross members 38, 40, 42, 44 which may form table tops or back rests. Seat 46 is pivoted on rods 48 and is lockable by a device 54 which engages through one of two holes 60 in the side panels and into the free edge of the seat 46.
