Abstract

1353141 Photo-copying apparatus H A L SPENCE-BATE 19 April 1971 [4 Feb 1970] 5409/70 Heading G2A A copying surface 1 for a document is illuminated from the side by diffused light from two housings 4, the copying camera being represented by lens 3. In Fig. 1, light from fluorescent tubes 5 in each housing passes through a ground glass or graduated screen at position 6 or 10. In Fig. 2, light from mercury vapour lamps 20 in each housing is reflected successively from a pivotable mirror 21 and pivotable aluminium diffuser 22. The document may be enclosed in a box open only at the front. The housings may be suitably cooled. Removable shutters may restrict the housing windows.
