Abstract

1,211,475. Colour photo-copying apparatus; colour filters. AGFA GEVAERT A.G. March 15, 1968 [March 31, 1967], No.12770/68. Headings G2A and G2J. An optical system for illuminating an original in a photographic colour printing apparatus includes a prism 4 made of heat resistant glass with highly polished lateral faces and spaced from a further prism 9 having a diffusing disc 8 at its light entry surface. The prism 9 acts as a colour mixing member, additive or subtractive colour filters 5a, 5b, 5c being wholly or partially insertable into the space between the prisms 4, 9. Light from a lamp 1 passes into the prism 4 through a heat protection filter 2 and a diffusing disc 3. Between the filters 5a, b, c, and the prism 9 is arranged a further prism 6 having on end 7 silvered to reflect coloured light into the prism 9. The uniformy coloured beam emerges from the prism 9 through a diffuser 10 and falls on the aperture of a negative mask 13 after passing through an adjustable diffusing disc 11 and a condenser 12. The filters may be arranged to form a square configuration Fig.2 (not shown).
