Abstract

1352874 Locking device for fire extinguisher FOREST ROW PLASTICS Ltd 6 April 1972 [7 April 1971] 8977/71 Heading A5A [Also in Division B6] A device for non-releasably fastening together the handle and trigger arm of an aerosol fire extinguisher comprises a spigot 10 having a tapering tip 12 behind which is a portion 16 of reduced cross-section, such that in operation the portion 16 is passed through openings in the container parts, the shoulders of the tip 12 preventing removal thereof without fracture of the spigot at the portion of reduced cross-section. The tip may be conical as shown, or hemispherical (Fig. 2, not shown).
