Abstract

1352195 Rolling KRONPRINZ AG 25 June 1971 [25 June 1970] 29985/71 Heading B3M The edges at both ends of a sheet metal cylinder 21 are rounded off by moving two plates 6 and 7 towards each other until rolls 8, 9, 10 and 11 engages the cylinder edges and rotating the plates in opposite directions. The rollers 9 and 10 are axially displaceable and the rollers 8 and 11 are biased towards each other and are pivotable about pins 8e so that they can follow non-circular regions of the edges 21. During the rounding-off operation the cylinder is held by a pair of jaws (12, 13).
