Abstract

1350063 Protective arrangements REYROLLE PARSONS Ltd 19 April 1971 [16 March 1970] 12516/70 Heading H2K A protective system for a three-phase distribution circuit comprises a circuit-breaker arranged to be tripped by a D.C. output signal from full-wave rectifiers 16, 17 connected to the secondary windings of two or more current transformers 12, with time delay fuses 18, 19 connected across the A.C. inputs to the rectifiers to provide inverse time delay overcurrent tripping, earth fault protective means also being provided to trip the circuit-breaker. These means may comprise current transformers having their secondary windings 11 connected to a fullwave rectifier 13 and the outputs of the rectifiers 13, 16, 17 may be connected to a single trip coil 10. A zener diode or non-linear resistor may be connected across each rectifier, Fig. 2 (not shown) or voltage transformers may be provided between the current transformers and the rectifiers, Fig. 3 (not shown).
