1349873 Mining machines GREEN & BING- HAM Ltd 24 March 1972 [26 March 1971] 7906/71 Heading E1F A rotary cutter head for a mineral-mining machine comprises a body 10, at least one helical or part helical vane 12 extending around the body, and at one end of the body, an end face plate 13 having at least the radially outer part of itself frusto-conically formed, the vane or vanes and the end face plate being provided around their radially outer edges with pick holders 16. The cone angle of the frustoconical part of the end plate may be from 30‹ to 85‹ about 60‹ is the preferred angle.
