Abstract

1348315 Crates MONTECATINI EDISON SpA 3 June 1971 18879/71 Heading B8P A plastics crate for ceramic tiles includes four corner stanchions 1, upper and lower horizontal ribs 4, 5 defining two long and two short side walls, the longer side walls each having additional intersecting ribs 6 and 7, and an open lattice bottom wall comprising one longitudinal rib (8, Fig. 3), three transverse ribs (9, Fig. 3) and a peripheral strip (13, Fig. 3) extending inwardly from the lower horizontal ribs 4, 5. Feet 11 extend around the stanchions 11 and partially along the lower ribs 5 of the shorter side walls. Square cardboard sheet inserts bearing information are slotted into the crates to line the shorter side walls. The stanchions 1 project above the upper ribs 4 of the longer side walls to facilitate stacking. The crate may be made of polymers or copolymers of styrene, propylene or ethylene, possibly reinforced with glass or asbestos fibres.
